Not only will Aspen Day Trippers be tons of fun but it will also be a long lasting summer experience…

- Weekly rate $500 per child, and $450 per sibling.
- We take checks or cash, private lessons and some activities are an additional charge.
Typical Daily Schedule
Between 9:00 – 9:30 every morning we meet at the base of the Aspen Mountain Gondola for registration. There’s plenty of parking and you can grab a cup of coffee too. At 9:30 we head off to that day’s adventure… Lunch is usually between 11:30 and 12:30. Following six hours of fun we are back at the Gondola Plaza at 3:30, except on Rafting and Water Days when we return between 4:00 and 4:30. For those parents coming from Snowmass we have a pick-up/drop off point at the Brush Creek Intercept lot on Highway 82. Usually a 10:00 pick-up and 3:30 to 4:00 drop off. In the future we hope to have a meeting place closer to Snowmass village. There is flexibility in the times, given the activities and driving conditions, so please feel free to call if you need extra time, or you are concerned for any reason.
Gear
- Everyday your child needs to have sunscreen, a water bottle or Camelback, swimsuit, towel, sun hat, appropriate shoes and a snack. Lunch is included.
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday kids need to have water shoes, a towel, and usually I suggest that they wear their swimsuit under their shorts and t-shirt.
- Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday your child needs to have shoes they can bike or boulder in, biking gloves, and a Camelback. If your kids have there own bike, great, if not we have helmets and bikes.
- As you are probably aware hydration is very important at altitude, so packing water is essential!
- All of this stuff can go into their backpacks.
- Camping trips require a spoon and bowl, warm clothing, sleeping bag and thermarest, which can be rented in town at the Ute Mountaineer # 970-925-2849 and proper shoes.
Transportation / Food
We have two well maintained Ford vans to transport your children safely. Day Trippers are required to buckle-up and a great attention is placed on driving safely.
With a variety of choices we try and select to best possible meals. Day Trippers with special dietary needs will be accommodated upon request.
Health Insurance, Emergencies or Injuries
Our primary goal at Aspen Day Trippers is to keep your children safe. We teach kids how to make responsible common sense decisions, to know their own limits and to communicate if they are getting tired. Our staff is well trained to prevent and mitigate injuries, but camp activities include certain risks and dangers, and injuries can happen. If a child requires medical attention he/she will be taken to the following hospitals, Aspen Valley Hospital, avhaspen.org #970-925-1120 or Valley View Hospital, vvh.org/ #970-945-6535 and we will do everything possible to contact parents or legal guardians in the event of a medical emergency. We are very proud of the fact that in over ten years no child has been seriously injured. Aspen Day Trippers requires all campers to have health insurance prior participating in ADT. When filling out the registration form please complete all of the necessary information—your child’s well being depends it.
Child Services
ADT offers “babysitting” as an extra service to our clients for added convenience, whether it’s immediately following a day of camp or in the evening. We also organize evening activities, ranging from bowling, the movies or dinner at Boogie’s. Our rates are $25 per hour, plus expenses. We care for your kids and want to make your time in Aspen memorable…
Day Trippers Girls
We may be a coed adventure camp, but at times it’s great for girls to do their own thing in a supportive all-girls environment, which includes any one or all of our activities. Get a group of girls together and share the fun!!!
